Delanmrion

January 29th, 2010

Deity: Delanmrion
Domains: Animal, Death, Protection
Common Followers: Clerics, Necromancers, Druids

Description: Many believe that life is the beginning and death is the end. Those who follow Delanmrion see Life as an interview and Death as the Beginning. True life in Delanmrion begins when you die and you are reborn in unlife, or as the referred to it, "The Awakening". Followers of Delanmrion also take a close interest in keeping pets or animal companions as an animal will focus only on life and not on any sort of blessings which can be gained.

Teachings: The followers of Delanmrion understand that your gift in "The Awakening" is determined by the deeds you do in life. In the recent years "The Awakening" blesses those who have become more powerful with the gift of great power in their new life. An animal must show his true power in order to survive, that is why the followers of Delanmrion are taught to keep themselves close to the wild or their pets.

Religious Events: "The Awakening" occurs upon a worshiper's "True Death". The "True Death" is either the end of a followers life in proud battle or survival until the end of their natural life. Upon "The Awakening" the dead corpse is returned to the temple and is brought back into existence in the form chosen for them by Delanmrion's will.

Lars

January 6th, 2010

Deity: Lars
Title: The God of War
Domains: Evil, Strength, War, Law
Common Followers : Clerics, Barbarians, Rangers

Description: Followers of Lars number in the dozens of thousands due to his simple concepts and naturally logical system of beliefs. There are many reasons Lars is the most common religion to find people believing in, but the most obvious one is best explained by the common phrase, "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em."

Teachings: Lars teaches his followers that there are only 2 kinds of people, the strong and the dead. The followers of Lars work on a simple basis, if it doesn’t agree with the ideas of large, conquer or destroy it. However, Lars’ followers must always be aware of how to make smart choices. Charging foolishly into your death is a far greater dishonor to Lars then to die only halfway through your brilliant strategy to conquer the world. Lars teaches that people can posses a physical and a political might and that not seeking either of these mights is the greatest flaw of any man.

Religious Events: The High Cleric Betrayal is one of the most accepted and yet, dishonorable acts that make Lars a complicated religion to understand. It is believed that Lars encourages his followers to attempt to betray the High Cleric if the follower believes he can do greater than the current High Cleric and if he could become the High Cleric through the prior’s death. The Betrayal isn’t a scheduled event, but it usually happens at least once a year. In addition, the Clerics believe that there will soon be a new time, a time in which Lars will come back again in the form of a mortal creature with amazing powers.
